The Petree Scholarship
The Petree Scholarship Fund was established in 2000 to honor the memory of Elisha and Bertha Petree and their five children.  The college scholarships are awarded to qualified and deserving members of the youth programs at Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church.  Since the first scholarships were awarded in 2001, approximately twelve young students have benefited from the Fund.

The Ryan Shoaf Memorial Scholarship

The Ryan Shoaf Memorial Scholarship was established in May 2002 to celebrate Ryan's life and to encourage participation by the youth of Mt. Tabor UMC in the activities that brought joy and meaning to his life.  The scholarship is presented annually to youth who plan to participate in a summer music camp or school, a summer scouting experience or an educational experience in another country.

The scholarship is open to all youth in grades 6 thru 12 and will be awarded during Higher Ground on April 19th.  Applications are also available in the church office and on the Youth website. Completed applications are due by 4:00 pm on Monday, April 13, 2009.
